About Kirk & Fit Beyond 40

Kirk Charles is on a mission to get America in tip-top shape!  He has been a NASM Certified Personal Trainer since 2010 and has successfully conducted more than 13,000 group and personal training sessions.  Kirk also credits more than 30 years of plant-based eating as the key to his success.

Kirk focuses on the more mature generation for his training and coaching sessions.  He created the Fit Beyond 40 online coaching platform in 2021.  Through exercise and plant-based food preparation classes, Kirk has educated and inspired his followers to be physically and mentally prepared to get through the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.  He has spoken at non-profits and corporations and has appeared numerous times on SiriusXM Urban View as a guest on the topics of nutrition and fitness.

In 2024 Kirk launched Bike America, an annual bike ride of 1,000 miles, to promote cardio exercise and plant-based eating to combat metabolic diseases.  Kirk worked with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine on Bike America 2024, a cycling trip from Central Park in New York City to Lincoln Park in Chicago.

Kirk has written two books.  The 1st Aisle:  How to Eat for Maximum Health guides the reader toward plant-based eating as the first line of defense to overcome metabolic diseases.  Live in the Power Zone focuses on the mental preparation necessary to thrive in America.  Both are available on Amazon.

Kirk was a weekly columnist for Men's Health and has authored more than 100 articles on exercise for the mature man.  He has also written a weekly column for TheHub.News, which focused on plant-based eating, exercise and health related issues.  As a freelancer he has written for AARP, Black Enterprise and Black Men magazines.

With all of his responsibilities, Kirk finds time to do commercial acting and modeling.  His image and likeness has appeared in national commercial and print advertisements for ESPN, Merck, Coldwell Banker, State Farm, The Motley Fool, Uber and others.
